Please note that this post is about two, different, TUBACHRISTMAS events hosted under "the same umbrella."

Seattle TUBACHRISTMAS is finalized. I'll send in the paperwork to the Phillips foundation later this week.

Saturday, December 19th, at Music Center of the Northwest:

http://www.mcnw.org/about/contact.htm" target="_blank

Upstairs, in the recital hall. 5PM registration, 5:30 rehearsal, 6:30 food provided at no cost to players courtesy of us (you all) and Music Center, and a 7:30 PM performance. There is a medium size parking lot and free street parking but leave some time to negotiate that, please. BRING YOUR OWN MUSIC STAND, PLEASE.

As I wrote on the facebook page: Hello everyone. There was some confusion regarding our Seattle TUBACHRISTMAS last year (2014) and I once again want to apologize. It always takes a group of volunteers and the Phillips family to make this happened and sometimes there is miscommunication. As I wrote about the Seattle event last year: We apologize for the miscommunication. We were very far along with another performance venue when things fell apart a few weeks ago and we had to regroup for our Seattle event. We caught some mistakes on the main web site but evidently we missed something. We're sorry. We'll pay extra attention to all of this next year. Merry TUBACHRISTMAS. * * * For those of you that came after the performance I want to personally apologize to you in this public forum.

Tacoma 2015 is finalized and the paperwork has been sent in. Tuesday, December 1, at the University of Puget Sound: registration at 5PM, 5:30 rehearsal and 7PM concert. Everything is once again at the Wheelock Student Center's Rasmussen Rotunda: http://www.pugetsound.edu/" target="_blankā€¦/campus-the-northwest/campus-map/

Merry TUBACHRISTMAS!

Great to hear that something is being organized.

How is the general public going to know how to hear the group? The venues are not the kinds of places that the general public would frequent. Seattle Center? Passenger deck on the Bremerton ferry?

Ben,

The Tacoma venue has become an annual tradition. The Seattle information will be available on the national site and, starting next year, I hope that it becomes an annual tradition at Seattle Center (not unlike what Harvey did at Rockefeller center). Over time, I hope that these venues won't seem obscure to anyone.

Bump for Seattle TUBACHRISTMAS. Please bring a music stand to Music Center. Set list to follow soon.

Please note that, while I am organizing this event, my services are required at McCaw Hall, so, while I will be with you in spirit, I won't be playing.

Merry TUBACHRISTMAS!!!
