I find it really amazing that the only mention of this has been on this thread. Not a word of this has come out in town. I hope it doesn't die a fast and painful death like most Jazz Clubs do here. I have asked other musicians about this and they have looked at me like I was crazy. None of the local papers or the alternatives have made mention of it. A shame, a little PR would do wonders. But, with the Mega-Masturbation Casino that is the Wynn which opens this weekend, anything is going to be overshadowed. BTW, Joe, Sam Butera is still alive and kickin'.

Dave Phy is a fantastic trombonist, and a GREAT guy! Ya'll in the Vegas area should definitely check this out! Bill, if you talk to Dave, please forward him my e-mail...would love to catch up. Oh, the crazy days of NEC...we'll stop there ;^)
