Nevada Tuba Day 4/22/17

Postby schneidah » Tue Apr 18, 2017 12:42 pm

Hello folks,

Apologies for the late notice, but this Saturday is the 2017 Nevada Tuba Day at the University of Nevada, Reno! We are excited to welcome Dr. Deanna Swoboda, Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at Arizona State University, as our guest artist. Dr. Swoboda will present a master class, give a solo performance, and help lead the Tuba Day Mass Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble!

Absolute Music, co-sponsor of this year's Tuba Day, is bringing a number of tubas and euphoniums to play test, including several Yamaha instruments. They'll be set up starting at 12pm for you to spend some time trying horns even before the day's festivities begin!

Full details are below. All events are FREE and open to all. Bring your horn and join the Mass Ensemble, or just come down to check out the events and listen to the Tuba Day Concert! We hope to see those of you in the northern NV/central CA area there!

I attended the 2017 Nevada Tuba Day yesterday. The program was intense and packed with something for every level of music training and uba experience. Thanks!
