Jim Self residency at U. Tennessee Feb. 19-23

Hi all,

We have Dr. Self here in Knoxville for a fantastic week. He's being featured as a composer, teacher and performer. All performances are free and open to the public:

2/19 8pm recital of solo tuba music (plus a trio) by Ron Davis, Zach Collins, Alex Lapins
2/20 8pm recital of Jim's compositions by UT music students, including tuba/euph ensemble, woodwind quintet, brass quintet, saxophone quartet, brass choir
2/22 8pm bands concert featuring Jim's "Tour de Force"
2/23 6pm Jim's jazz recital with UT faculty

He's also teaching mid-day masterclasses, one for all brass instruments, one on beginning improvisation. These are open to the public, too.
