The ATLANTA CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL is a seven-day residential music festival for students of all orchestral instruments (Including euphonium) and piano in grades 6 to 12. ACMF stands out as one of very few festivals in the country with a chamber music focus for pre-college students, boasting an artist-faculty of the highest caliber in the Southeast, world renowned guest artists, thoughtful course offerings, and outstanding performance ensembles. All of this takes place on the beautiful and historic campus of Agnes Scott College in downtown Decatur, GA, where evening activities include social events and concerts by our artist-faculty and guest artists. The experiences and connections students make during their inspiring week at ACMF last a lifetime.

ELIGIBILITY:
Students who have completed grades 6-12 with at least one year of playing experience.
Students MUST be at ACMF the entire duration of the festival. Please do not apply if you will have to miss any days.

STEP 1: APPLICATION FORM
Create an account with Embark (or login if you already have one) and fill out the online application form.
If you wish to apply for financial aid, you will need to upload your most recent tax return before submitting your application. Financial aid is awarded on a rolling basis; earlier applications will receive more aid.
Pay $75 application fee (nonrefundable). You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your application is received; if you do not receive it, please contact us immediately.
Early application discounts are available for students who register by January 15 or March 15.
Final application deadline is May 15.

STEP 2: AUDITION RECORDING
You may return to your application form at any time to add your audition recording.
Auditions are used to place you in groups with students of similar abilities.
Audition recording deadline is June 1.

STEP 3: TUITION & FEE PAYMENT
Please note: the tuition submission form is separate from your application and cannot be accessed directly from your application dashboard. You must navigate to it for the first time directly from the ACMF website.
Pay fees online. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your payment has been received. If you do not receive it, please contact us immediately.
Fee deadline is June 1.

AUDITION INFORMATION
All students must prepare two contrasting solos or excerpts (lyrical and technical) totaling 3-5 minutes. This audition is for placement in chamber ensembles with students of similar skill levels, so please make sure your recording is representative of your abilities.

Students of orchestral instruments (including euphonium) should also prepare the excerpt(s) for their instruments below. Each instrument has 3 excerpts listed in order from least advanced to most advanced. Students should prepare one or more excerpts as they are able.

Audition deadline is June 1. This is a firm deadline. The committee will meet June 2 to assign chamber and orchestra placements; students who have not submitted their auditions by June 1 will not be placed into groups for the festival and may forfeit their space.
