Willi or Albert?
I saw them play once about 7 or 8(?) years ago at a bar in NYC. Ever since then, it seems like their US shows are almost always in concert halls at universities. That's fine and all (bigger crowds = more $), but the smaller setting (and beer) made the show even better.

Wish they would come out to the West Coast, but probably too costly
Best part about hitting rock bottom? The only place to go is up!

I was able to catch their show in February 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany. Definitely worth it, however, if you are expecting a concert of wonderfully played music from start to finish you will be disappointed as they put on more of a show than a formal concert!

If it were not on a school night I’d be there!!Heavy_Metal wrote:I saw them the last time they played Fredrock- errrr, Frederick MD , and will try to make the next one there. One of the best shows I've ever seen!

Re: Mnozil Brass - US Tour
I have seen these guys twice in the last 3 years. Fantastic show. If you are withing 200 miles, you should go. Unfortunately, I am about 400 from the closest one on this upcoming tour. Also there is a great interview with one of these guys on the Brass Junkies podcast. I forget which one, but he explains all about how they put a show together. Their shows are completely memorized and choreographed from start to finish. It's more like going to see a play done with music than a concert. Last year at Clemson, I had seats on about the 5th row dead center. What an amazing sound.

Their last 2 tours have been in the Southeast. I saw them at UGA and Clemson.bloke wrote:no venues in "the south"...' understandable:
- None of them play banjos.
- People in "the south" only laugh at fart jokes.
- ' too much of a chance, weather-wise, of a "nice evening out".
