Willi or Albert?

I saw them play once about 7 or 8(?) years ago at a bar in NYC. Ever since then, it seems like their US shows are almost always in concert halls at universities. That's fine and all (bigger crowds = more $), but the smaller setting (and beer) made the show even better.

Not sure who is playing, but we know it will be wonderful!

Wish they would come out to the West Coast, but probably too costly :(

I saw them the last time they played Fredrock- errrr, Frederick MD  , and will try to make the next one there. One of the best shows I've ever seen!

I was able to catch their show in February 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany. Definitely worth it, however, if you are expecting a concert of wonderfully played music from start to finish you will be disappointed as they put on more of a show than a formal concert!

I have seen these guys twice in the last 3 years. Fantastic show. If you are withing 200 miles, you should go. Unfortunately, I am about 400 from the closest one on this upcoming tour. Also there is a great interview with one of these guys on the Brass Junkies podcast. I forget which one, but he explains all about how they put a show together. Their shows are completely memorized and choreographed from start to finish. It's more like going to see a play done with music than a concert. Last year at Clemson, I had seats on about the 5th row dead center. What an amazing sound.

no venues in "the south"...' understandable:
- None of them play banjos.
- People in "the south" only laugh at fart jokes.
- ' too much of a chance, weather-wise, of a "nice evening out".

From the looks of their act, I’d be disappointed if there were not at least one fahrt joke!!

Their last 2 tours have been in the Southeast. I saw them at UGA and Clemson.

They were in Birmingham 2-3 years ago. Alabama is "the south", right?

The south is one thing. The Republica de Tejas is yet another. One is green, the other is brown, one understands that barbecue is pork, the other views barbecue as "whatever".

Hopefully, I'll see them live, sometime. I asked Mrs. bloke if she was interested in a road trip to Alabama (re: that previous tour). She declined. I suspect she believes that she has been exposed to just about enough brass to suit her.

She and I have seen the Ultimate Solo Guitar Concert (front row: Tommy Emmanuel), and I suspect that (not knowing what she's missing) she would thoroughly enjoy the Ultimate Brass Ensemble Concert as well.

I'm sure there will be a tuba solo or two. (Better than Nancy?)
