We are thrilled to share with you the inaugural UNC Charlotte Brass Day! On February 2, 2019, we will be hosting an exciting day full of brass playing, teaching, and participation for young students from across the greater Charlotte region. We are proud to feature our guest artists, the USAF Heritage of America Band’s Jazz Ensemble and our very own UNCC Faculty Brass Quintet.

The day will include solo and ensemble concerts, instrument-specific masterclasses, exhibits, warm-up sessions, mass ensemble participation, and more. Our goal is to inspire, invigorate, and encourage young brass players in their efforts to become better musicians. Students will have the chance to hear world-class artists perform, soak up knowledge and new ideas, and even perform side-by-side with UNC Charlotte brass students in the finale concert.

For more specific details about the event, please visit our website: https://coaa.uncc.edu/calendar/unc-charlotte-brass-day" target="_blank. Registration for the event is only $15 per person and includes COMPLIMENTARY LUNCH at our buffet-style dining hall! The deadline to register and receive the complimentary meal is Thursday, January 24, 2019. Check-in for the event will open at 9 AM and the first session will begin at 10 AM. All of the events will occur on UNC Charlotte’s campus in our beautiful facilities of Robinson and Rowe Halls.

We are excited about hosting this wonderful day of brass and hope you will share the event with anyone you think might be interested. While our primary audience is high school brass players, we welcome students of all ages, professionals, educators, and anyone who is enthusiastic about brass playing! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Eric Millard (emillard@uncc.edu" target="_blank) or Dr. Jeremy Marks (Jeremy.marks@uncc.edu" target="_blank)

I hope to see you there!
