Just wanted to let you know about a studio event coming up in two weeks.
Thursday, November 21, 5:30 pm. Norton Auditorium
A Night Of Low Brass will feature both low brass chamber ensembles and the full studio performing music in preparation for their Opening Concert at the Alabama Music Educators Association (AMEA) Conference. The featured guest soloist will be Tony Kniffen of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, which is part of his residency here at UNA.
UNA chamber repertoire includes: Night in Tunisia, St James Infirmary, and "City of Arts and Sciences" by David Faleris.
UNA Full Studio repertoire includes: "Celestial Fanfare" by Frank Gulino, "Morceau symphonique" by Guilmant, and "Funeral March" by Grieg.
Tony Kniffen repertoire includes: 1st mvmt of Sonate by Hindemith, "Arpeggione" by Schubert, 2nd movement of Vaughan Williams, and Carnival of Venice.
Admission is Free and Open to the Public.
