40th Annual SCMEA Day of Tuba and Euphonium

Post by LISherm »

Long Island Low Brass: Our big 40th annual event has been streamlined for the age of Covid, but will still be a live (and virtual!) event. Saturday, November 7, 10:00 am - noon on the football field at Smithtown High School East, a Tubachristmas-style gathering for grades 4-12 and beyond, with a safely socially distanced rehearsal followed by a brief livestreamed performance. The performance video will be archived so anyone can download music and play along from home. (Have someone take your photo playing by your screen and send it to tubaday@scmea.org" target="_blank for posting on our website!)

The Long Island Tuba Quartet with guests will also perform.

All information, registration, downloadable music and recordings, maps and more at https://www.scmea.org/festivals/day-of- ... euphonium/

We honor the memory of Howard Hovey and Harvey Phillips, and send a shout-out to founder Bill Troiano and all the Troianos in Texas!
