Graduate Recital in Knoxville, TN

Post by T. J. Ricer »

Hello, All,
I would like to invite anyone interested to my graduate tuba recital at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. It will be held on September 10th, 2005 at 6pm in the UT Music Hall at the school of music. The rep will include:

Sonatina for Piano and Tuba - Doug Spata
Musical Souveniers for Tuba - Jos van den Dungen
Effie Suite - Alec Wilder
The Kraken - Harold Oliver
Sonata for Bass Tuba - Paul Hindemith

Please PM me for more information.

I will also be playing the Spata and the Wilder at the BGSU Tuba Fest Sept. 18th http://www.timolt.com/festival/index.html

Hope to see some TubeNet faces out there.

ps, my Johnny Cash Tribute band, CASH Back, will be doing a show immediatly following the recital at Burrito Diablo on UT's campus.

I'm gonna stick my two cents worth in again on this one. I had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Ricer play part of his recital music this weekend. WOW! He is sounding even better than when I had last heard him. I am considering making the 7-hour drive (even with the gas prices) just to hear him. Definitely worth the time!
