On Saturday, September 3, the Fort Worth Symphony will be performing the Janacek Capriccio for Piano and Winds at Bass Hall as part of the Eastern Euorpean Music Festival. The Capriccio is a rarely played work scored for solo piano (righ hand only) piccolo/flute, two trumpets, three trombones and tenor tuba. The very soloistic and difficult tenor tuba part will be played by Dr. Brian Bowman. Among the other works on the program is the Kodaly Hary Janos Suite.

This is an opportunity to hear a fairly obscure but wonderful piece. There are still good seats available. Information can be found at www.fortworthsymphony.com.
