Sean,
Username of 'TubaHaynes' has scammed several folks out of money. He was reported to have advertised sheet music for sale and never came through. FYI.

Re: report of scamJust out of curiosity I looked this guy up. There is no user with that name or anything close to it.
TubeNet, where expressing strong aversion to a political system gets you called a racist...
Re: report of scamEuphHaynes
Thanks to JB for finding that. I must be getting old to have forgotten to check eupher variations! Looks like we have another scumbag who has ripped off several members of our little family. http://forums.chisham.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=11927 TubeNet, where expressing strong aversion to a political system gets you called a racist...
Re: report of scamI've locked the thread, changed the contents of the original post and made it a sticky so it would be right at the top for all to see. I've also pulled an ad he posted in which he was trying to sell a horn. I eagerly await the hitting of the fan with the fertilizer.
The wind is as the air, only pushier.
Re: report of scamSchlep, you da man. Thanks for looking out for the community. I'm out $32 bucks on this one. In the future, I'm going to have to do background on people's usernames (search posts, length of membership, etc) before I trust someone. Geez, what a loser to scam tuba players!!!
Must be a sign of lean times when the Ponzi schemes filter down to the back row.
Re: report of scamI would still trust most everyone on TubeNet. Now, if I were to scam anyone, it would be for a lot more than $32. Gotta make things worthwhile, you know.

Re: report of scamDid anyone get his email address?? I understand some of you did correspond with him via email...
Did he give you a school email address?
Re: report of scamI believe he is from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Re: report of scamAccording to a source, there is/was a kid named Haynes who attended SELU and is now a graduate. Best thing would be to contact Mr. Larson(sp?), the tuba prof., there. Either this kid is a scam artist or somehow someone hacked his account here. i agree with the above...sure is a lot of trouble for just a few bucks.

Re: report of scamIt might not be a scam in the traditional sense, but this fellow has never come through with sending music after several people sent him money. I waited over a month - nuthin. That being said, maybe one day next week I'd be surprised to find the said music in my mailbox but I doubt it. I went ahead and spent $20 to do a stopped check with my bank so I didn't lose all of the $34 I sent.
I still love the folks on Tubenet and trust most everyone; I might be a bit reluctant to sent $ to someone that has only done 2-3 posts in the future.
