"Dictionary" of terms

Post by Tubajug »

I think it would be amusing to have a "Dictionary" of sorts either in the FAQ's or elsewhere with all the jargon that gets thrown around here (BAT, TNFJ, Nextuba, etc...) If nothing else it would be amusing to see how many terms people come up with just for the fun of it. This could be that thread.... :D

I searched some terms to see how often they occurred in the "main area of musical discussion". I was curious to compare words describing playing an instrument vs. the instrument itself.
forte: 192
slur: 223
spring: 2525
silver: 5305
I tried proper names:
Bobo: 1679
York: 5708

The words are a just a few that quickly came to mind.
