I'm glad that Schleppie sort of keeps sponsors 'at bay'. Although I have been a sponsor of this forum for many years, I don't feel I am entitled to anything much beyond the fact that my banner and link cycles through the header of the forum. Full-blown advertising campaigns cost a heck of a lot more than the few dollars a month that us sponsors contribute.

an occasional post in the For Sale section is fine but I personally don't like to see the forum dominated by advertisers.

I agree. One of the nice things here is to be able to chat candidly with the sponsors about whatever, and not be constantly advertised AT. Yes, there is a thin line, but it's more fun to talk to you all as tuba people than it is to talk to you as salesmen.
