That's crazy!Heavy_Metal wrote:I got the same error message...........
I went back in and checked and updated everyone's permissions. You should be good to go now.
I thought I had the board set up so that certain permissions would be automatically granted for new users. It has certain settings for new users though, which I tried to work around. Apparently the board doesn't like that and as a result I'll have to manually set everyone's permissions. If you or anyone else has any issues, you ought to be able to PM me on the board.
Thanks!

No joy here.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Re: Who's Running TubeNet These Days?
Schlepp and I have been sending e-mails like mad to the support page. Neither of us has received a single response. I have a suspicion that the issue may not be a "What" issue, but a "Who" issue, But even if it was a "Who" issue, that shouldn't have caused the main page to shut down as well as the support board.Curmudgeon wrote:"free-forum.net" is down right now, not just that particular forum.

Re: Who's Running TubeNet These Days?
The two weather forums I frequent have thread-by-thread email notification of new posts. One forum automatically turns on the email notifications once you have posted to a thread, and the other one is totally manual. You have to click a 'Notify' button in order to get notified about replies. It is handy if you are giving advice and the recipient is kind enough to respond 'yea' or 'nay'.schlepporello wrote:(quotes deleted)Automatic notifications are not set by default. You have to go to your user control panel and click that option for yourself if you want it.58mark wrote:
I don't get notifications either, but some might like them
