Replying to Personal Messages?

Postby imperialbari » Wed Dec 27, 2017 9:00 pm

I sent a PM to a recent poster, because my reply touched on matters best kept in private.

My PM came through fine, but my name was thrown off the address line repeatedly, when he tried to answer my PM.

Fortunately he found an alternative route to reach me, and we are now communicating all fine via another medium.

I have looked through my settings, and I found no parameter indicating that I should have blocked this TubeNetter. I don’t remember having communicated directly before.

What should I look for in my settings?

I have no idea. Unless you were on his "foe" list accidentally

Pm me the name of the person in question, and I'll look at their settings

This is probably not helpful, but a new website parameter seems to be that only two people are allowed to receive a private message.

In other words, when someone says something really funny and/or makes an outrageous claim here, you can only send the quote to two people, rather than three or four. :P
