Anyone else getting the same message when the sign in? Phone and browser. May have been like that for a while, but I just noticed it today.

only on cell phone and in public places. Can not log in when that happens.

That’s odd. It doesn’t happen with any other websites. It looks like it’s some new update thing but I don’t know for sure. Just thought I’d bring it up just in case. Don’t think much can be done with my information from TubeNet... lol.

Are you using any software or settings that prefer or require https sites over http? This is an ordinary http site, not a secure https site.

Google Chrome and some other browsers are pushing for every site to be secured with SSL (so the address would start with https). In the past it was mostly financial, e-commerce, healthcare, etc. sites that would be secure.

The same thing would happen on my own forum. I'd have to do about a hundred hours of work on my extensive website to made all pages able to be in SSH/https. That's not because there are any actual threats. It's just that a lot of the images on my site have a hard-coded "http://" address, so that would cause the browser to also report it is not secure, even if the page itself was. Confusing, I know.

Bottom line is:
If you are not putting in your credit card # or any very sensitive information on this site (SSN, mother's maiden name, bank information, etc.) or my site, you don't need to worry about it.

And if it matters to you, if the site used https that means all text, images, scripts, etc. have to be encrypted by the server and UN-encrypted by your browser and vice versa when you post. That takes a little extra time. On my fast computer and high-speed line, it would not be a big deal. But on an older/slower computer, it could make a difference. And on any system there is "SSL negotiation" that has to take place for each source (checking SSL credentials and agreeing on the encryption to use), which slightly delays the page starting to download.
