If you have kids in band, & know that renting wastes money..

...or if you're a school band director,

Watch our Mid-South Music facebook page.

 https://www.facebook.com/midsouthmusic79

We put GOOD instruments up there in REALLY GOOD condition at GOOD prices.

We offer up some nice/used USA, Yamaha, etc., instruments fairly regularly, there.

 WOODWINDS & BRASS...not just "tubas".

You might need to pull the trigger quickly, though...because some of them don't stay up very long.

saxophone chit-chat:
Though some people roll their eyebrows when saxophones are mentioned, we have found the JP TENOR to be REMARKABLY good (pro's by them from us as "back-up" horns, and then end up "primary-ing" them)...and the MORE EXPENSIVE MODEL (still: NOT expensive) JP alto is just about the easiest-to-play in-tune alto that Mrs. bloke has ever encountered (D - D octave is not an issue, halfway-up-the-instrument pitches are NOT sharp, etc., etc...)
REALLY NICE JP alto sax: https://www.jpmusicalinstruments.com/prod/john-packer-jp245-eb-alto-saxophone
REALLY NICE JP tenor sax: https://www.jpmusicalinstruments.com/prod/john-packer-jp042-bb-tenor-saxophone
Due to where they are manufactured, we can actually offer the tenor for LESS than the alto, but (again) neither are "expensive".
 There are DOZENS of DIFFERENT saxophone factories in China. They are NOT "all the same".
We know of no saxophones currently in domestic production...but (well...) some of the last of the USA-made saxophones (Can we talk?) just weren't very good.

bloke "Though you may be skeptical of this, both Mrs. bloke and I play the saxophones well enough to separate the wheat from the chaff."

I bought a “student” instrument and had it sold two years later at a $300 “loss”.

Think about that compared to renting...
Who needs four valves??
