When Alison came to collect her new mini tuba today there was nice surprise in her being accompanied by the renowned Herbie Flowers.
Herbie of course had a try of the mini tuba which he so liked he ordered one for himself once I have in Eb. He nicknamed it the 'Bubbie' tuba and has even promised to write piece especially for it

Great Photo, Jonathan!
Any chance of an etude on YouTube soon? Aside from the obvious advertising benefit, I'm sure a lot of TubeNetters will be curious about the sound and intonation! Mine are hitting Seattle in a few weeks, but are all pre-sold, and Mack hasn't had a chance to demo one yet... Also, I should think there are quite a few US players who will be interested in the EEb slides when they're ready!
