If you want a CC with stellar intonation then the model 410 German 4/4 rotary is the tuba to get. That is as good as any CC I have ever played and better than most expensive models!

Today we gave the 450 CC a check with tuner to assess the tuning further. It was acceptably in tune except when the 3rd valve is brought into use - the 3rd valve loop just seems too long. I am therefore going to get the slide cut and see how the tuning is then. That means it is no longer available at the previous 'give-away' price.
Its sounds great, so if the modification works it will be a very good 5/4 CC tuba
