Yes, J Sherman I remember Ronald Bishop telling me about the 163 Alex at Oberlin College, Good instrument CC and it had the BBb slide
I have the a 163 and it came with the factory BBb slide , plays well in either key
That is why we had built our TU M&M 4500 in CC with 5 valves , to play in BBb hold down the 5th valve , to play the CC release the 5th valve
