You may remember the very heated thread last year where Chris Dudley was proposing to conduct 'blind' comparisons of some Wessex tubas against the top brand instruments on which they are based.
The comparison did go ahead, but due to availability of comparison instruments was trimmed down in size and Chris confined his final report to the Wessex Mahler CC compared to the Miraphone 186.

You can read and reach your own conclusions, but it is particularly interesting that the perceived value of the Wessex was almost double that of our retail price!
