I would love to see a large 5v rotary CC similar to a PT6 or PT7.

G/D English Bass trombone, 'bout time the chainsaw had a renaissance. I would imagine construction wouldn't be too hard since you have experience with long slides from your bass sackbut.
Bass fanfare-trumpet, preferably in Bb/F rather then G like the foul old Besson ones.

4-valve rotary bass trumpet in F/Eb
• additional slides to allow the horn to be played in both F and Eb
• interchangeable receiver/leadpipe to allow for contralto mouthpiece (such as Bach 9AT) and small-bore trombone mouthpiece
• appropriate for 2nd/3rd F trumpet parts in Romantic works, as well an Eb bass trumpet option to be historically appropriate for the Ring Cycle, Rite of Spring, and other works.
• main slide tuning jigger that raises and lowers pitch
• Bore: 11.5mm
• Bell: 165mm
• yellow and gold brass options
• lacquer and silver plated options
5-valve rotary Kaiser baritone/tenor tuba
• upright bell
• large bore

So are you on track to have the horn at ITEC this year? I'm enjoying my 1909 King helicon with 4th valve added, but it would great to have a CC.Wyvern wrote:Still on its way, but got pushed back in schedule to prioritise other new horns. Now expect out by ITEC conferenceTubaDude wrote:What's up with the CC Helicon??? Had heard it was coming in 2018, there are only a few more weeks left in 2018.

Re: Wessex Tubas - what would you like?
In that case, just a comment. Some of your tubas say 'gig bag XXXX' at the bottom of their page. The Gnagey's page does not say that.
Doesn't the way you need to load the Gnagey into B600 make it a fairly awkward experience? Do you place it with valves resting against your back? Or some how rotate it around so they point behind you?
It feels like one could *use* the bag, but not that it was meant/ideal bag for the Gnagey? A Bag with zippers on the other side, or top loader be more ideal for front action pistons?
Or am I just paranoid/way off?

Re: Wessex Tubas - what would you like?
All of the Wessex bags are “back-loaders”.
Which means you put the horn in so the pistons are pointing into the case, away from the opening. Their bags are designed to stand up on their bells so you’re not resting the horn on the pistons while you load/unload.

Re: Wessex Tubas - what would you like?
I’d like to re-up the desire for a Bb tenor tuba in the vein of the Alexander 151. If a Wessex quality clone or homage to a 5 valve rotary tenor tuba were on be market it would change the landscape. I can’t ever justify $9,000 dollars for a tenor tuba. I have a Wessex Festivo and love it. And I would drop $2,000 in a heartbeat for Wessex clone of a 5 valve (flat whole step) Alexander 151.

All instruments need integrated bottle openers.
I'm mostly kidding but dang, wouldn't that be useful?

Re: Wessex Tubas - what would you like?
Question for whomever at Wessex is the correct person. I was at TMEA and played several horns, one of which I would like to order, but have a few questions. I've left a couple of messages with your Roselle, IL office and the one in Texas, but havent had anyone return my calls. What is the best way to speak with someone on the phone? Feel free to PM.
