Dunno if the thread has ceased, but I'd like to see a Eb tornister and a Gnagey with rotary valves.

5/4 rotary BBb please. e.g., Fafner or Cerveny Kaiser. Or at least a miraclone 191 BBb.

A high quality either plastic or wood cimbasso case that has latches, instead of the zipper.

The Wessex cimbasso case is already wooden with latches

I want one of these. You could call this a Normaphone, though, real normaphone don't look this similar to saxes!

We can supply those to order, but cannot keep inventory of too many choices

Any thoughts of producing a French C (6 valves) Tuba?

A French C tuba is a future possibility if we could find a good one to use as a basis. The couple I have played were not good enough.

If we did eventually make, I would propose with modern fingering like a 6-valve F tuba

Couldn't you just "cut" a Euphonium to C?

A French C tuba does not sound like a euphonium I believe - it is one of the saxhorn family

It'd be great if you made 'em in original configuration, if for no other reason than authenticity. The 6th valve (drops the horn a 5th) isn't really necessary though; just adds a bunch of straight tubing which ends up making the instrument sound bass-trombony.

Here you can see the back of mine: the 5th is originally a half-step, but comes with a clever extension which makes a whole-step. Pretty cool.

Very interesting. What are the other valves tuned to?

1 and 2 are 'normal'. 3rd was originally a major 3rd (2+3) instead of a minor 3rd (1+2) but I cut it to a minor 3rd. 4th is a 4th (1+3).

What mouthpiece do you use? Is it a large Euph, Tuba or perhaps something in between, like a Contrabone piece?

I use a Yamaha Bobo tenor tuba mouthpiece, only because I used this instrument extensively with my orchestra, and I just needed a bigger piece to keep up with the rest of the brass. Here are pictures (L to R) of the original mouthpiece that came with the horn, a Schilke 51D, and the Bobo piece:

A quality 3/4 BBb/CC tuba. Something inspired by the Conn 2-3-4-5J family maybe, maybe larger bore. Definitely 4 piston valve (opt 5th rotor), and valve front. Offer a CC and a BBb version like Conn. Anything like that in the hopper?
