Re: What if...
I think I got Joe all worked up :lol: because I'm so adamant about liking brass mouthpieces more than stainless... even though it sounds like his mouthpiece ticks all the boxes on my wish list (except that it's stainless). To me, I think it's not the rim feel/smoothness, it's that the brass just feels more "warm and alive" and the stainless feels more "cold and harsh." What the heck does that mean? Who knows... but it's how I perceive it.
That said, I'm willing to give it another shot and try it out, maybe I'll end up being okay with it. Or, maybe I can send it off to have a brass copy of it made? (<-- That's a joke, don't worry.)

Didn't I sell you a two piece Symphony a couple years ago? :lol:
But hey, at least I'm just buying/selling mouthpieces, and not tubas. That's something, right?

This is why I could never be an architect;
I could only build houses I like!!
(I'd spend too much time with clients telling them their ideas suck and won't work)

BTW, it was one of the old 2-piece models, not one of the new, slick, must-have 3-piece model :PValveSlide wrote:Dude, you are making this way too easy... :lol:bort wrote:But hey, at least I'm just buying/selling mouthpieces, and not tubas. That's something, right?

Re: What if...
Make a bead blasted satin finish prototype rim. Post results.
