That looks awesome! Any chance of a picture of it next to the Dolce so that we can get a better idea of size?

From the latest batch, all Wessex rotary horns have such engraved paddles. Not just the tubas, but even the rotary trumpets.

You guessed correctly where the idea came from 8)

Very cool.

Also, I see the Anton now has an option of gold brass with nickel silver bell wreath? Is that the first model with the wreath? That plus the engraved paddles would be quite a handsome instrument.
