What's a "tenor tuba"?

Postby bloke » Mon Dec 17, 2018 10:33 pm

If :?: you think  it should...
- be front-action rotary
- feature a valveset bore at least as large as the bore of a compensating euphonium
- feature a longer mouthpipe than a compensating euphonium, and the bugle should expand larger than a compensating euphonium past the main slide...

...I've acquired a "tenor tuba" made by Meinl-Weston back in the 1970's at the Geretsreid factory. I'm enhancing it to a 5-rotor (fully chromatic) instrument. There's a thread here  http://forums.chisham.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=88398 about this project.
No...It's not for sale (at least, not right now), but if you're interested in the project (which also has included some minor repairs), you can go look. :|
