Rant: Lame Advertisements
Forum rules
This forum is for buying or selling your personal equipment. Sponsored selling is allowed as well. All ads are required to have the following information: Price (even for trades), brand, model, and location (City and State, for instruments, not accessories). It is acceptable to link to an external ad if you are promoting a sale of your personal equipment. No Ebay auctions, but "Buy It Now" listings are fine. Photos are HIGHLY suggested as well, and may be hosted on Google Drive, or elsewhere. If you see an ad that does not meet these criteria, please report it.

*bump bump bumper cars!!*
Some people need to sell their instruments quickly!
SOME people seriously CANNOT afford a digital camera. We are afterall MUSICIANS!!
SOMETIMES when people make a testimonial to a horn, it's REASSURANCE that the buyer is selling what he says he's selling!!
We ALL have the freedom to go ELSEWHERE to buy a tuba if you have issues with the things at hand!
Not ALL people are great salespeople. They just know they have a tuba and need to sell it! Teaching them politely rather than this kind of awful rant here on TUBENET is a much more proper, inviting way to deal with things!!

I'm never hurt. I was sitting behind an Arban's just a couple of hours ago, and will probably be back behind it soon. I know where I stand... I'm merely making an argument for argument's sake, and for those who maybe aren't as fortunate.
And no, I don't have a digital camera... but I have a desktop computer, and a laptop, and a whole ton of music and other crap. But that's a choice.

I don't want to take the credit for this rant but I believe that my crappy add was just one of many that may have spawned this contreversy. I am new here. I know that that is no excuse, but nevertheless please excuse my ignorance. I am but a mear tuba player.
I do hearby solemly swear never to post another sale item without a decent add.
I would like someone to post the rules and etiquette of TUBENET. It has taken me some time to realize what many of these things are that people do that upset one another.
Please forgive my ignorance, not everyone is a grand master at tubenet. some people need some coaching along the way. Then again...most of us need a little coaching along the way.
Thank you for opening my eyes.

I think that by some of the posts that have been posted lately, none of which have been found on this thread, that the etiquette and quality of TubeNet posting is almost completly gone.tubaplyer wrote:I don't want to take the credit for this rant but I believe that my crappy add was just one of many that may have spawned this contreversy. No, what I think Wade is offering is a guide for people who have not done it before, perhaps saving them from learning things the hard way. When someone is not a regular purveyer of BBS's, things do not all immediately become clearer until after their attempt at sales.tuba8822 wrote:what are you...the sales process etiquette police??
Many of his suggestions are obvious, but may not occur to a person until after the fact. This merely gives them a few things to consider before they jump in. I think that they're things worth mentioning in that light.
If you don't mind a few bumps, then why post here at all?
And seriously, great fourth to you & yours!

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
