You can delete your own post until someone posts something after it. Once that happens, all you can do is edit the post and remove everything you said.

For you, Dan, everyone else can delete your posts...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I suppose we could just ignore your posts, Dan, if that's what you want us to do .

Did Dan say something?
I wasn't paying attention.
Sorry, couldn't tell, I just deleted it!

Y'know... sometimes I think I am invisible. I walk into a room and it seems I can just go past everyone without them even seeing me!

Hey! Wanna hear (read) a joke??

Well... there was this guy who got a new hearing aid. He just went on and on bragging about how much better he could hear and how wonderful it was. A fellow asked him... "what kind is it"?

He said "about two-thirty".

He seemed compelled to offer some unsolicited advice about posting, but hey- this is a bulletin board, you can start a thread any way you'd like! :P

Hey, once it comes out of my mouth (or out of my fingers and onto the keyboard and into Cyberspace), I can't take it back. I choose my words carefully.
