By the way, I looked at all the musician photos on the site. Gee, a few of the English players really look, uh, "grubby" in their rehearsal garb--------quite unlike American players.
Great Photo!

That is a great photo. Thanks for posting.

The garments of the female violinist were particularly chic. (I hope this doesn't start the War of 1812 all over again.

Re: Great Photo!
Looks like a 6/4 York style tuba to my eyes...perhaps a Nirschl or Hirsbrunner. It could be Oren Marshall's (look here: http://www.pbase.com/pippington/image/29571526)Jonathantuba wrote:
I believe he plays a PT6P. In which case what is that tuba in the background?
Interesting site, though.

Yep...the wrap and 5th valve placement look very Nirschl upon closer inspection, and the horn seems more like a 4/4.Peach wrote:Owen's is PT6P for sure. Heard he's not playing any C tuba anymore and only using one of his many (many...) Eb Sovs.
He might've changed his mind though...
Background tuba pretty sure 4/4 Nirschl/Besson.
Def not Hirsbrunner and not 6/4.
The only reason for saying it could be a Hirsbrunner is that they are the only maker other than Nirschl to offer a 5th valve setup like that.
