With my 2P, I really liked the Laskey 30G and 30H. Great response, intonation, and quality of sound. If you try them, make sure to try the American AND European shanks.....huge difference in response depending on how you blow the instrument.

Good luck,

At the danger of tootin´ somebody else´s horn:
YOU OWN A HIRSBRUNNER AND ASK WHAT MOUTHPIECE TO USE WITH IT ?!?
PM me for my adress and send it to me. I got a mouthpiece that suits me and prolly will suit the horn for the time being. The next time I drive over to Geretsried I´ll test MPs to find one to send back in return.

Sorry. That was obnoxcious, but I couldn´t resist.
I just felt I wasn´t going to chime in with the "Well, lessee, what ensemble are you using it for" people.

Hmm, I might have to have you ship it to me so I can personally test a few of mine on with an extended comparison curriculum, including practice, rehearsal and formal concert formats before I would feel comfortable making a final recommendation. 8)

I've tried quite a few mouthpieces (but admitedly not all :)) , and I've found the Laskey 30H with Euro shank works best for me on my HB-2P.

I use a Yamaha Bobo Symphonic on a HB1 BBb. My section leader uses a PT88 on his 21.

I use a PT88 with my HB-21. Drilled out the back bore a bit and shaved of the the inside of the shank a bit.

I would suggest getting to a tuba show and trying as many as possible!
