Recording device for tuba

Post by MaryMacK »

I used to have a 20GB iPod & an iTalk microphone to record myself playing and that was the greatest thing in the world!!! However, sadly, I got my iPod stolen a few months ago and I don't have anything to record my playing with. (I bought a 30GB one but it dosn't work with iTalk :x )

So here is a question for you guys. What do you currently use to record yourself with? OR what do you recommend?

I'm looking for something that's easy to use with a high quality microphone, something that can handle the tuba playing, and hopefully something that's not too expensive. Let me know what you think!

I use a 4-Track, a high quality microphone and Sonar v. 5 for PC.

Works like a charm.

For the practice room I use a minidisc Hi-MD with a stereo sony mic (very compact and 24-bit audio)

At home I use an audiotechnica studio mic (the 300 dollar one that outperforms most 1k dollar mics Ive used) and Sonar.
