Dear All,
As you all know, I am working my way through the Cimarron Music Press catalog and re-engraving every piece along the way. The last week or so I have spent time uploading .mp3 samples and .pdf samples from the catalog of the pieces we have re-engraved.
On the site, you will now find 127 .mp3 samples and over 200 .pdf samples of the pieces that have been re-engraved or added to the catalog recently. If you want to do some exploring and hear and look at some music here is the link the site:
http://www.cimarronmusic.com
There are almost 50 tuba quartet samples and app. 20 Euph. solo samples.
I would like to thank several people for the sound samples they have provided for the site:
Tim Olt (All The King's Tubas) - http://timolt.com/atkt/
Tim has provided more samples than I can count!!!! I cannot say enough how much I have appreciated his support. We will have more of Tim's arrangements up on the site in the future.
David Werden - http://www.dwerden.com/
Most of the Euph. solo samples you hear are Dave playing live. Great playing that always amazes me!!
Melton Tuba Quartet - http://www.melton-tuba-quartett.de/engl/body_index.html
If you did not catch them at the DC Army-Tuba Conference, catch them when you can!! Wonderful people and musicians.
Triangle Tuba Quartet - http://triangletubas.com/cd.htm
They generously allowed us to use their recent recording of Xmas carols on our site. This is much appreciated!! Check out the samples of the Good Cheer Collection and download a free .pdf of "Joy to the World"
Most improtantly, I would like to thank the TubeNet and Tuba/Euph community that have supported us in our first year under new ownership! The transition has not been easy, but we feel we have made giant steps forward and look forward to a very bright future!!
In addition to the above, you will also be able to find many of our publications in digital formats here:
http://www.sunhawk.com
As we move forward, we will upload pieces as we re-engrave them so check back often for updates!
We will also be adding Kiwi Press and Bayside Music Press pieces into the catalog in the upcoming months. This includes several Tuba Quartets and Quintets along with many Brass Quintets.
If you happen to be going to ITEC, please stop by and say hello. We will have many of our old standards along with many pieces making their first appearance in published form. This will include 2 new Vaclav Nelhybel pieces. One for Tuba Trio and another piece for Viola, English Horn and Tuba. The second has never been published before.
That's it for now and if you made it down this far I think you deserve a medal (or beer).
Wishing everyone well,
