Places to buy used tubas?

Post by quinterbourne »

I'm looking to compile of list of places where you can buy used tubas. I would prefer places that maintain an online listing of items.

Here are the ones I have so far:
Baltimore Brass
Dillon 's Music
Tuba Exchange
Bass Clef Brass Classifieds
Ferguson Music
Net Instruments
Mike Milnarik's "Tuba Studio"
EBAY
WWBW or HERE
Lee Stofer Music
Oberloh Woodwind and Brassworks
The Village Tinker
Wichita Band

Any others you can think of?

Also include places that have a broad selection of (professional quality) tubas but that do not maintain an online listing.

Lee typically has a lot of tubas that aren't on the website.

Robb Stewart has a few worth looking at but you can't see them online. If you email, he will send pics!

Make sure you stay attuned to your local public schools and colleges/universities. Occasionally one will have a sale of "depreciated" instruments, and once in a blue moon you will get a real bargain. And also police departments, when they auction the "unclaimed property."
