Not really sure how 1955 (let alone 1972) qualifies as "over 100 years old":fpoon wrote:You should be ok cause "Dueling Banjos" is over 100 years old...

Dueling Banjos...
Well, it will be someday. I don't expect to be around for it, though.Kevin Hendrick wrote:Not really sure how 1955 (let alone 1972) qualifies as "over 100 years old":fpoon wrote:You should be ok cause "Dueling Banjos" is over 100 years old...

The melody which the song played in Deliverance was based upon was an Appalachian banjo rift that dates back to the 1800's. I was told that by a prof. who I trust more than any internet source. Sound like that guy ("composer") just took something out in the public realm and slapped a copyright on it anyways.
So I guess arrange/compose at your own risk. But whose gonna know anyways?

I didn't see the sheet music on his page, but you might be able to get in touch with him and he might be able to get it for you.
