Sheesh. When I was training for long-distance triathlons, all my cycling buddies used to start the same threads about the names they gave their bikes.
Perhaps I'm just too much of a geek, but I always thought that a bit strange. I may greatly admire the way they look and work, but I've never wanted to give them names. Thus, my bikes were "the Habanero", "the Merckx", "the Schwinn Homegrown", etc.

Yes, you just may be weird.......GopherTuba08 wrote:I may be weird, but I name my tubas. My BBb is Abby, and my F is Julianna. I have friends that name their cellos and basses and flutes and trombones. I was wondering if any other tubae name their horns, or if I need some serious counseling on how I didn't have enough friends because my dad never hugged me. Excuse me whilst I play some Wagner with Abby. . . .and cry.
The doctor is in. Send me 10 bucks and I'll tell you if you truly are weird or not....

I have named all of my horns after the actresses in the sitcom "The Golden Girls". They are named in order of size.
Euph = Estelle Getty
F = Betty White
CC = Bea Arthur
All the horns are silver, so I only used the actresses with grey hair (sorry Rue).
