etude/method books for junior highers
I have a 7th grade tuba student who is fairly good. He is using his school's band method book which is not hard enough for him. I think the Tyrrell Etudes would be just a bit too hard for him at this point. What are some good etude books for him?

First Book of Practical Studies- Robert Getchell
also, The Second Book of Practical Studies.
Both published by Warner Bros.
The first book has some nice progressive exercises with some great scale studies in the back. The second book continues the progresion in difficulty and length of exercises.
Neither book explores extemes in ranges but simply concentrates on fundamentals in counting and reading.
