What's this horn?

Post by ThomasP »

On the ITEC 2006 homepage http://www.denverbrass.org/itec/ there is a tuba in the top left corner. What is it?

I first thought it was a Meinl Weston 45SLP, but the leadpipe is different and there are too many spit valves. Is it a 2182 or am I totally on the wrong maker?

Just curious is all...

Hot breath onto cold steel = water condensation. Can YOU spit that much on your bathroom mirror with your mouth closed?
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

The question becomes:

Whence the water vapor?

Didn't you ever notice the large amount of "water" under humid circumstances!?

(are you suggesting a better name is 'saliva key'? I though that was in Florida! )

Put it in the right place, as on rotary trumpets, and call it an octave key.
