Introduction

Post by Chadtuba »

Hello out there in tuba cyberspace. Been reading around for a few weeks so thought I'd finally introduce myself. I'm a music teacher at a small school in southern Colorado teaching K-3 general music and band from 4th grade up. Been playing the tuba for 15 plus years and really enjoy doing so. The only thing that bugs me playing my tuba is that I'm about the only tubist in the area so I don't get to play my euphonium except for myself. I currently play with the Adams State College Wind Ensemble, the Colorado Brass Band, and the San Luis Valley Big Band (bass bone).

I play an Allora AA186 BBb tuba, just picked up an early 70's compensating Besson euphonium, and a King Silver Sonic 3B F trigger trombone. I hope to pick up a good bass bone soon and an Eb tuba when the money and the wife allow.

Well anyway, thanks for having this place to whoever is in charge. :D

oops. Now that you mention it, I don't think I ever introduced myself here either. I used to frequent the Tuba-Euphorum a lot before it went under due to various hackers.

My name is Seth Jervis and I am going to be a junior music performance (euphonium) and composition major at Ohio University this Fall. I've played euphonium for 3 years now (trumpet for 5.5 ) and I have been composing for 5 years. Check out the website!!!

I haven't updated in a while but I plan to get around to it within the next week or two. I'll be around the forums!

Welcome, neighbor!

Do you ever make it over to Silverton to hear the Great Western Rocky Mountain Brass Band? Concerts this year are Aug. 18, 19, 20.
