Solo Tuba CDs

Post by Rommel72 »

Ok, well I have slacked off and have negelected to add any new recordings to my solo tuba cd collection. There are 4 that I can think of off the top of my head I want to get.

Alan Baer
Kyle Turner
John Stevens
Mike Forbes

Are there any others that have come out in the last couple years that I have overlooked or maybe not known they existed?? Thanks!

not sure what is aready in your collection but a few to think about if you dont already have them ( in addition to all of the great suggestions thus far) would be :
1) Pat Sheridan - Lollipops, Bon Bons, Blazing Brass
2) Roger Bobo - Bobissimo
3) Floyd Cooley - Romantic Tuba
4) Jon Sass - Sassified
5) Sam Pilafian - Any Travelin' Light CD, also Perceptions is great
6) Gene Pokorny - Tuba Tracks, Big Boy
7) Rolans Szentpali - I forget the cd titles for him, but he sounds great
8) Michael Lind
9) Velvet Brown

best of luck

There will be a 30 second soundbite on the site once we have sent the CD to our webmaster, may be a few days yet.
I have seen Mr Death listed as the accompanist on other CDs where he appears as Mr De'ath.

The title track was written in 2001 and the story concerns a tuba from outer space which crash-lands and is befriended by a group of children, who take it on a tour of planet Earth! The Tuba has Landed is a fun way of introducing children to brass instruments but, more than this, it allows them to experience the whole world of musical performance. Six new choirs were formed for the first performance, two of which sing on this recording.

Yes indeed. have you had a look at our website yet?
We predominantly deal with brass band recordings and sheet music but have been steadily growing our range outside of that niche field.
