Oiling Rotary Valve Mechanisms
Just a question: Someone told me that I should oil some points on the "fulcrum" rod, on which the 4 paddles pivot. Can anyone tell me EXACTLY where I should put oil, on that rod????

Re: Oiling Rotary Valve Mechanisms
The paddles are attached to levers, which are attached to tubes that ride on the shaft around which they pivot. The tubes keep the levers aligned during use, and extend all the way to the flanges through which the shaft is secured. Put the oil at the ends of the tubes, right next to the brass flanges. Use light oil--anything heavy won't flow to where it's needed.Jedi Master wrote:Just a question: Someone told me that I should oil some points on the "fulcrum" rod, on which the 4 paddles pivot.
