Strong 'n Wrong!!
I've also been known to "fart all over that part."
There are no "silent but deadlies" in brass playing.

Speaf!!
When I was in undergrad, we often used the word 'speaf'. A friend of mine who studied in Holland told me that they often call missed notes 'den blares', which was appropriate because one of our good mates was called Blair (he played trombone)

I recall a few years back during a rehearsal there was a section where the oboes were asked by the conductor to repeat a section - just the two of them. We all know the challenges oboe players have to overcome with tuning... along with the rest of us of course. But they had to repeat this section a few times and they were still horribly out of tune.
In my best Ralph Wiggum voice I said (a little too loudly):
"Sounds like burning!"
I didn't realize I'd said it quite that loudly until the concert master turned to me from the front and laughed behind his hand. I felt badly though when the oboe section went beet red. I hope I'd given them sufficient fodder for tuba insults before and after that.

Hey, Toobist - that's like one year when I was in high school band camp, and, God love him, the bassoonist was just in over his head. He missed an important entrance, and the conductor stopped us and nicely said something like, Um, um that entrance - who missed it? In a similar low voice I said, "Buffoon," long on the "oo." The conductor said, "Yeah, that's it!" The giggling that had started broke out into full laughter by the whole band. The conductor had heard it as bassoon instead of buffoon, and was clueless. We all had to take five.
