I like it - quick & to the point. But instead of S & S I think I might substitute a fast circus march instead since most players don't see them regularly and they can be a challenge to play cleanly and well.

VW's Toccata Marziale has appeared on a couple band auditions I've had; good choice.

I would also include:

Summer Dances, Balmages
Theme from Greenbushes, Grainger
Lord of the Rings, De Meij (Symphony #1, symphonic band version)
Der Traum de Oenghus, Rudin

Toccata Marziale is always chosen! Anyone who doesn't know it should be shot. Same goes for Stars and Stripes - same old! Mvt 3 of the Hindemith? Better be a collegiate/professional audition or you're going to be disappointed!

What would you use for sight reading?

I'd use whatever came off of our arrangers' printer most recently. Today, that would be Don Patterson's transcription of "Scapino: A Comedy Overture" by William Walton. Nobody but Crawford, Tiedeman, and myself have seen it.

Actually that is the very one I had handed to me for a band audition 35 years ago as a HS freshman.

I´ll second "Traum des Oenghus" by Rudin.
I´d think the air logistics required in that piece will pretty much sort them out.
"Chakra" by Maurice Hamers comes to my mind, too.
Air consuming, tricky rhythms, soft playing as well as unleashing the monster, and technical stuff.
What level band are we talking about, anyways ?

Circus marches are a great idea. Hard as hell, and great test of mellifluousness with the section.
