I've always liked Charles Dickens.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

The only Reger with which I am familiar is Introduction, Passacaglia, and Fugue for organ. Rather conventional stuff.

There is no question that Tiny Tim was the better dancer.

Egg on my face. I remembered a characterization of Reger as one of the worst composers of all time. Upon some further research tonight, I found that he is highly regarded as a composer of organ music. To Mr. Reger, my apologies.

He is the author of possibly the greatest putdown of a music critic who panned one of his works: "I am sitting in the smallest room of my house. I have your review before me. In a moment it will be behind me."

This question could be resolved with one mighty hypothetical stroke:

Variations on "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" by Max Reger

After all, if Shostakovich could turn "Tea for Two" into Tahiti Trot...
