No tubas, just euphemisms -- I'm sure you remember this thread (and several others before it):windshieldbug wrote:I guess I. P. Freely never made tubas...

That must be why he was playing a "Dork"...Chuck(G) wrote:Does it strike anyone as a bit strange that this is an Eb and the book's for BBb? Sure hope the last player didn't learn his fingerings from the book...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

That'd discourage anybody -- maybe that's why he's selling it?Chuck(G) wrote:Does it strike anyone as a bit strange that this is an Eb and the book's for BBb? Sure hope the last player didn't learn his fingerings from the book...

Bobby boy, you are young!!
That is an Intellivision, one of my favorite hobbies in late elementary school, in addition to tuba and another which shall remain nameless. It came out shortly after the original Atari and had much better graphics and a more versatile controller, but the games tended to be no-name while the Atari got all the arcade clones.
BTW, my old avatar was the "Bug" aka Edgar from Men In Black when he had first taken over the human body. He was told that his skin looked like it was falling off his bones, so he grabbed the back of his head and pulled it tight, saying "There, is that better?"
Another of my favorites is Dennis Farina as Mike Torello from his Crime Story days, when he was fresh off 18 years in the Chicago PD.

Book us for tomorrow night.
Hold it, hold it. Tomorrow night? What are you talking about? A gig like that, you gotta prepare the proper exploitation.
I know all about that stuff. I have been exploited all my life.
