[quote="Bob1062"]Mr. Self, what do you plan on playing? F sousa? The Fluba? A cimbasso?
I believe I know the answer to this question: "Anything he wants to play."
Just kidding. No telling what he may choose.

Merry TubaChristmas Los Angeles 2006 - recordings
Since most of you don't live close enough to attend the L.A. Tuba Christmas and hear the pros in action, here is a taste of what we SoCal low brass players get to enjoy while we take a break and the 12 part ensemble that Jim Self puts together performs. Here are two of Jim's great arrangments. The sound quality is not the best since I was sitting 5 rows behind them on the stage, but it should give you a good idea.
The First Noel
Winter Wonderland
The Tubadours also performed and sounded great...

Thanks for sharing Dave! I remember being at L.A. Tuba Christmas 2005 and the groups that played were phenomenal. I hope to get to go again sometime in the future when im no linger a slave to the retail trade. Great memories!
