I won my concerto competition!

Post by porkchopsisgood »

I get to play the Strauss Horn Concerto No. 1 with the TSU orchestra on March 17th. A little early notice, but if you have 5-24 hours to spare to get here :D , It will be in Baldwin Performance hall on the TSU campus in Kirksville, MO.

Tickets still available!! Hehehehehe....

The best part is that it was two string judges (David Rubicz, cellist-Kansas City Symphony, and Emily Ho, violinist, St. Louis Symphony), that made the call. Score one for us!

Hope to see any of you there....

Congratulations, Allen. It's really great and reassuring to see a guy who turned to serious tuba study a little later in life than most (and a Temple alum, to boot) do so well.

Hey Doug,

Not sure yet....I might try to do some conducting seminars this summer. But I DO like money, so I'm a little torn...hehehe. We will definitely see.

Hope things are well!

And thanks for the love, iiipopes, Steve and Bloke!
