This is such a shame. HMI is closing shop this year. As an alumni of this and more traditional festivals I have to say this was a wonderful, unique organization with a effective, forward thinking, and extremely supportive program for young musicians.

Why bother to spend money on new musicians when "The Music Industry" keeps being successful at extending copyright for existing stuff. Last I read, some legislators in UK were bucking that trend. Bully for them and all that rot.
