Re: Mirafone For Sale
Not only does he need an F tuba, he is flaunting it in front of all of you!!!mirafone1 wrote:I've got a Mirafone CC 186-5U (5 rotory valve) tuba for sale. It's been sitting in a closet at my parent's place for 7 years. I only play it when I go home for the holidays.
The horn is 11 years old, in great shape, and comes with a hard case and flight case. I am asking $6,500 for the lot. I need to sell fast so I can pay for my new expensive F tuba.Pics available upon request.
Mayhem, I say!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, how hard is it to play a "mean" tuba? Is it really that much different from playing a "nice" tuba, or even an "indifferent" one?RoyceLandon wrote:I think everyone is just jealous because I can play a mean tuba and they can't.
What about a "sad" tuba, or a "happy" tuba? Did the Happy Farmer play on a happy tuba? Or did the personalities have to clash a little, kinda like opposites attracting?
I would personally like to play test some "slightly annoyed" tubas, or maybe even some "bi-polar" ones.
Sounds like another "piston vs rotor" or "silver vs lacquer vs un-lacquered" debate to me...
No comment.RoyceLandon wrote:And I have a huge dong.

What a horrible statement to make. Your dumb.RoyceLandon wrote:I saw the NSO play Brahms 2 last night, and Steve Dumaine was playing an F tuba!!!! WHY???? I can't believe he would play it on F. What a wuss!!
I've found that playing it on C is not that difficult. It only goes up to a Bb. You'd think that a person like Steve Dumaine would be able to play a Bb on a C tuba!
Landon, OUT!
